Research Scholars

Rajan Kumar Mishra 

Rajan Kumar Mishra received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Orissa School of Mining Engineering, Keonjhar (Presently Govt. College of Engineering) and Master's in Power Systems Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, Orissa (formerly UCE). He is currently doing Ph.D. in IIT Madras in the area of the Power system. His research interests are SCADA, power system restoration in smart grid and microgrid environment.

Likin Simon

Likin Simon received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Government Engineering College Thrissur, University of Calicut and Master's in Power Systems Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC). He is currently doing PhD in IIT Madras in the area of Power system. His research interests are micro grid, renewable energy integration and control

Aneesa Farhan M. A.

Aneesa Farhan M A received her Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from MES College of Engineering, Kuttipuram, Kerala and Master's in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. She is currently doctoral scholar at IIT Madras in the area of Power system. Her research interests are Distribution system automation and control, Power System Protection.

Anoop V Eluvathingal

Anoop V Eluvathingal received his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Calicut, India in 2010 and M.Tech in Power Systems Engineering in 2012 from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India. After 1.5 years of teaching experience he joined IIT Madras for doctoral research in the area of Smart Power Grids. He is currently working with Research Programme of the Indo-German Centre for Sustainability (IGCS) on Sustainable Power Engineering on Islanded Grids. His research interests include active Distribution Networks, Solar PV Microgrids and Power System Protection.

Srinivas S. T. P.

Srinivas S. T. P. received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from QISCET (Affiliated to JNTU Kakinada), Ongole, Andhra Pradesh and Master's in Power Systems Engineering from Visveswaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. He is currently doing PhD in IIT Madras in the area of Power system. His research interests are Power System Optimization, Protection, Stability and Control, FACTS

Pranjal Pragya Verma received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from from National Institute of Technology, Puducherry. He is currently doing PhD in IIT Madras in the area of Power system. His research interest is Power System Optimization and Planning.

Naina P M

Naina P M received her Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government Engineering College, Idukki, Kerala and Master's in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala. She is currently doctoral scholar at IIT Madras in the area of Power system. Her research interests are Virtual power plants, Renewable energy Integration and Energy Storage.

Vidyamani Thangavelu

Vidyamani Thangavelu received her Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu and Master's in Power systems Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. She is currently doctoral scholar at IIT Madras in the area of Power system. Her research interests are Energy management and Intelligent control in smart grid.

Venkata Hareesh S received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Audisankara college of Engineering, Andhra Pradesh and M.S. (By Research) degree from NIT Tiruchirappalli. He is currently doctoral scholar at IIT Madras in the area of Power system. His research interests are Wide Area Measurements and Power System Protection.

Amulya received her Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NSS College of Engineering, Kerala and Master's in Integrated Power Systems from Visvesvaraya NIT, Nagpur. She is currently doctoral scholar at IIT Madras in the area of Power system. Her research interests are Signal Processing techniques in Smart Grid, Substation Automation Systems.

Saranya A

Saranya A received her Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College, Chennai. She is pursuing her MS in IIT Madras in the area of Power System. Her research interests are Restructured Power Systems and Power Markets.

Praveen.A.N received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Engineering Mysore and is currently pursuing MS in IIT Madras in the area of Power System. His research interests are Power System Protection, Planning, Optimization, Active Distribution Networks, Automation. 

Aprajay Verma received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. He is currently pursuing his MS from IIT Madras in the area of Power Systems. His research interest includes risk analysis of smart grids.
